I’m gonna let you in on a little secret. Occasional money mindset exercises aren’t going to help you grow wealthy and happy in your business.
The real way to achieve that financial life you are dreaming of?
Doing these money mindset exercises DAILY.
Not only do you need to identify your money mindset mistakes, you need to work on your relationship with money every single day.
In this blog post, I’m giving you FOUR things your should do daily to start building wealth in 2020!
Rewrite Your Negative Money Thoughts
Your thoughts and your words have a powerful effect on your wealth.
You are running your own business, which means you will have a whole new set of thoughts running through your head!
See if these thoughts sound familiar:
“I need to be the cheapest offer otherwise people are not going to buy from me”.
“My business isn’t making any money”.
“I’m not sure how to make this work”.
These thoughts become your DEFAULT. Your mind gets stuck because you are subconsciously telling yourself these “truths” over and over until they seem like reality.
Listening to your thoughts is an important daily practice.
Your thoughts and emotions dictate your reality, and they are sometimes based on lies that you tell yourself!
The trick is to turn these into affirmations.
Affirmations are not just positive thinking. They are not the quotes that you find on Pinterest.
They are powerful, specific truths that help you re-write your reality.
The most important money mindset exercise you can do is speak the truth loud and often!
Let’s try an example.
If you are saying to yourself
“I don’t have money for that”
You need to re-write it to say something like
“I am doing the work so I will have the money for that”
“If it is important then I will find the money for it, I just need to re-evaluate my priorities”.
When you are re-writing your mindset, it is important that your affirmations are
- Action oriented
- Specific to you!
Daily Money Mindset Exercises:
Whenever you feel yourself getting stressed, sad, or anxious about money, listen to the words you are using. Write down any negative thoughts you have about money in this state. Try and find the patterns, the things that you say repeatedly. Pick one thought to re-write and then say that affirmation to yourself everyday.
This is not a new concept.
Someone has probably already told you to do this.
Everyone tells you to be thankful for what you have. That you can manifest your success through gratitude.
But you are still broke and unhappy.
Wanna know why?
- You are not doing it daily, or
- You don’t actually believe it.
If I can help you understand one thing in our time together, I hope it is this one:
You can’t be wealthy and happy if you are not content with the things you have now.
Even if you do manage to make money, you will not have that feeling you are craving without practicing gratitude first.
Daily Money Mindset Exercises :
No matter what happens, write down at least 3 things you are grateful for every day. Take time each day to thank money for all the things it helps you achieve.
Shift your scarcity mindset
If you are a new entrepreneur, you will be familiar with these feelings.
“I can’t charge more”.
“Who am I to price that much?“
“I’m not worth what I’m charging”“
“I don’t have money”.
You’re not alone! But I know you can do better.
The main reason these feelings come up is because you are living in a scarcity mindset.
You believe that money is hard to make, that you don’t deserve more money, that you will never reach your financial goals.
If you re-read all of the statements above, you will notice how negative they are. They focus on the “lack” in your business.
The daily money mindset exercise that you can do is to actively look for abundance.
If you tell yourself you don’t have money, you will never have money. If you tell yourself money is hard to make, it will be. If you tell yourself and everyone else that you are struggling, you’re going to be doing that till next Christmas.
Instead, look around at all the amazing things that money lets you do. Look up what amazing things business owners are doing with their money.
Daily Money Mindset Exercises:
Take some time to sit quietly with yourself, with your thoughts about money. Think about all the wonderful things that money has already given you (EVEN if you haven’t reached your income goal this month!).
The most important money mindset exercise? Remind yourself of your goals and take daily action
So many new entrepreneurs want to make money.
You want a “dream life”.
However, when I ask you, you can’t tell me what it looks like! You can’t tell me how you plan to get there!
If you want to build real wealth, you need to be crystal clear on your financial goals.
To do this, start with your dream.
You need your dream to fill you up. You need to know what your life will feel like, look like, taste like.
Once you are clear on your destination, you can plan your financial roadmap.
If you don’t have a goal, you can’t make a plan. If you don’t have a plan, you are going to stay exactly where you are in 2020.
Maybe you feel like all the work you are going isn’t getting you any closer to your dreams.
If you could just make money you could be who you want to be.
You are putting so much energy into your business- but what if it isn’t actually getting you to your financial goals?
If you know in your heart that you struggle to make the money that you are destined for, then it is probably time that we talk about 1:1 coaching.
With me in your business, not only will you get clear on what is in the way of your wealth, but you will also learn how to leverage your PURPOSE to build that wealth. You will know what it means to enjoy money and be so happy you can’t help but make more.
And this all begins by working on your financial goals DAILY.
Do one thing each day that will move you closer to your financial goal.
- Work on your money Mindset as a Business Owner,
- Transfer your Money Mindset and Financial behaviours to your business,
- Check-in with your business and personal accounts,
- Set an income goal and come up with 3 things you can do to achieve that goal (And named them)
- Spend money on something that would have scared you in the past.
Where will you be this time next year?
Are you going to be making the same amount of money? Will you still feel guilty every time you spend money and unsure every time you make a business decision?
Or will you be full of purpose, have a clear plan on how to create wealth and be living your best life? That dream starts with investing in yourself. If you’re ready to FINALLY make a change, apply to work with me 1:1– you could have this reality in the next 3 months! Click here to apply
